Beloved brothers and sisters in the Lord!

The Temple (Church) is the house of God, the place of the special presence of Our Lord. The temple is the sacred place, intended by God Himself for prayer. At every divine service, we hear the Gospel call of Jesus Christ about love for one's neighbor, and everyone who comes to the temple follows this holy call. An Orthodox church cannot pose a threat to anyone.

In the city of Kharkov, as a result of shelling and warrior invasion by the Russian Federation, churches of the Kharkov Metropolitan diocese of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church were damaged, including the Church of the Holy Myrrh-bearing Women, the Assumption Cathedral, the St. Anthony University Church, the Church in honor of the Holy righteous Simeon and the Prophetess Anna of the village of Yakovlevka, Kharkov region the temple of Queen Tamara in Pyatikhatki and the Temple of the Ascension of Our Lord in the urban-type settlement of Zolochiv. In these temples, the blast wave carried out all the doors and windows, stained-glass windows were destroyed and church utensils were damaged.

Explosions and bombing are heard every day in the Kharkiv region, peaceful, innocent people are being killed, children are dying. Many resedents of Kharkiv city were forced to leave their homes and sit in bomb shelters, or became refugees and migrants. Since the first days of the war, people have been hiding in the churches of the Kharkiv diocese, they have been provided with medical and spiritual assistance. The clergy of the Kharkiv diocese of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church provide all those in need with food and basic necessities.

In order to prevent even greater victims and suffering of our people, we appeal to everyone on whom it depends, to stop inflicting military strikes on the homes of civilians and on Orthodox Churches, to help provide safe humanitarian corridors for the evacuation of civilians and children from settlements where it is dangerous live and stay!
May Our Lord Jesus Christ with His Grace to protect our country Ukraine and its God-loving people, and give us the long-awaited peace!

Улюблені о Господі брати та сестри!

Храм – це Божий дім, місце особливої присутності Господа. Храм – священне місце, Самим Богом призначене для молитви. За кожним богослужінням ми чуємо Євангельський заклик Ісуса Христа про любов до ближнього, і всі, хто приходить до храму, слідують цьому святому заклику. Православний храм нікому не може загрожувати.

У місті Харкові внаслідок обстрілів та військових дій з боку Російської Федерації постраждали храми Харківської єпархії Української Православної Церкви, серед яких храм святих Жінок Мироносиць, Успенський собор, Антоніївський Університетський храм, храм на честь святих праведних Богоприїмця Симеона та пророчиці Анни села Яківлівка Харківського району, храм цариці Тамари у П'ятихатках та храм Вознесіння Господнього селища міського типу Золочів. У цих храмах вибуховою хвилею винесло всі двері та вікна, зруйновано вітражі та зіпсовано церковне начиння.

Щодня на Харківщині чутно вибухи, вбивають мирних, ні в чому неповинних людей, гинуть діти. Багато хто з харків'ян змушені були залишити свої оселі та сидіти в бомбосховищах, або стали біженцями та переселенцями. З перших днів війни у храмах Харківської єпархії ховаються люди, їм надається медична та духовна допомога. Священнослужителі Харківської єпархії УПЦ забезпечують усіх, хто цього потребує, харчами та предметами першої необхідності.

Для запобігання ще більших жертв і страждань нашого народу, звертаємося до всіх, від кого це залежить, припиніть завдавати бойових ударів по будинках мирних жителів та православних храмах, допоможіть забезпечити безпечні гуманітарні коридори для евакуації мирних жителів та дітей з населених пунктів, в яких небезпечно жити та перебувати!

Хай збереже Господь наш Ісус Христос Своєю милістю державу нашу Україну та її боголюбивий народ, і подасть нам довгоочікуваний мир!
